About

I'm a photographer, a designer, a husband, a father, a writer, a reader, a wanderer, a daydreamer, a procrastinator, a stone thrower, a collaborator, a consumer. I'm everything I wish I wasn't, and everything I'm supposed to be. I've said too much, but not enough. My work reflects a desire to not only capture life, but engage a viewer in a journey, a story, a moment.

If I have any personal "style" to my photography, it is in finding humor and drama in people and life. I'm still exploring this life and this medium. I find that things aren't always as serious as we conjure, and that laughter bonds us more than politics or beliefs.

I approach photography like life; adjusting to what comes your way. When doing portraits I prefer to allow for people to be themselves, as I wait for their personalities and expressions to surface. If you want a studio, with various backdrops, kid props, stools, and various hand crossing techniques, then I'm certainly not the photographer for you. I attempt take photos that capture you, your family, your event, your wedding with emotion, personality and life.

First and foremost I photograph things that interest me. My passions. Not blank brick walls or feet or a single tree in a field on a foggy day — they have their place, and if that is your passion and interest, than pursue with all due haste. Go with what you love. Go with what you know.
